HTML can be written with any simple word processor... it is not a programming language and does not require expensive software. However, it is time consuming and addictive. Web pages are constantly "under construction", just like doing the laundry... it's never-ending. Consider this analogy. Think back to your school days... for some of us these memories may be hazy, but I think we can make the stretch... Remember writing compositions or essays, turning them into the teacher, then getting your paper returned to you... all "marked up" with red ink?? That's exactly what webmasters do to the content they are trying to present to their web audience. We take information and place "tags" in strategic places. These "tags" tell the browser software on another person's computer what we want them to see and hear. Let's get started... begin by choosing "Basic HTML" from the subjects in the column on the left.
